Select a Study

Your Library is where you discover all studies available to you. This guide covers how to use the Library to browse, preview, and evaluate studies before starting them.

Before you can access studies in your Library, you need to be a member of at least one group. Studies become available based on the groups you’ve joined. If you haven’t joined a group yet, you can join a group to get started. Alternatively, you can create and manage your own group to bootstrap the process.

Your Library shows all studies released to groups you’ve joined.

  1. Navigate to Library from the main menu
  2. Browse the available studies
  3. Each study shows:
    • Study title and cover image
    • Brief description
    • Creator’s pen name
    • Study edition

Before starting a study, preview it to ensure it fits your needs.

  1. Click on any study card in your Library
  2. Review the study details page to see:
    • Full study description
    • Complete lesson list with titles
    • Study attachments (if any) on the Attachments tab
  3. Click on individual lessons from the Lessons tab to preview:
    • Lesson descriptions
    • Question content and structure
    • Lesson attachments
  4. Assess whether the study meets your needs

If you find a study in the Library that you’d like to use as a starting point for your own study, you can clone it as a draft:

  1. From the study details page, select Clone as Draft from the action menu (⋮)
  2. Confirm the action in the dialog
  3. The study will be cloned to your Drafts as an editable copy
  4. You’ll be redirected to the draft study page where you can modify it

When to clone a study:

  • You want to adapt an existing study for your specific needs
  • You’d like to use a study as a template for creating a similar one
  • You want to modify a study before using it with your group
  • You’re learning study creation and want to see how others structure their studies

What you can do with a cloned study:

  • Edit the study title, description, and all other details
  • Modify, add, or remove lessons
  • Change questions and headings
  • Update or replace cover images
  • Add or remove attachments
  • Release it as your own study (we recommend giving attribution to the original creator)

Consider these factors when selecting a study:

  • Topic and Focus: Does it align with your interests or learning goals?
  • Lesson Count: Can you commit to the full study duration?
  • Lesson Structure: Do the questions and format suit your style?
  • Creator: Are you familiar with their other work?
  • Attachments: Are there helpful supplementary materials?
  • Difficulty Level: Is it appropriate for your background knowledge?

Choose your path forward:
